What a Crook's Rating says, and what it doesn't.

Rating sums up a Crook's level and what it wears. The higher it is, the more advanced your Crook. It doesn't tell you who would win, though: two Crooks with the same Rating can fight in very different ways.
Some modes require a minimum Rating. Versus, for example, opens at a Rating of 50.
